Stephanie Urbina Jones Interview | Shaman Heart: Turning Pain Into Passion and Purpose

Stephanie Urbina Jones Interview | Shaman Heart: Turning Pain Into Passion and Purpose

June 2, 2022

A profound, sacred journey. . . . . . amid a raging pandemic, snowstorms, fires, and canceled flights, leading spiritual teachers, preachers, and healers from around the world came together. Over seven days, they lay their lives on the altar of the feathered serpent, Quetzalcoatl, and took a leap of faith in the pyramids of Teotihuacan. Each author, an expert in their field, was invited to surrender through ceremony and initiation while writing and carving out their powerful truths.

They faced Hell, walked on fire, danced, and breathed into their soul’s purpose. They remembered their divinity and awakened their shaman hearts. Through the courage of 26 star seed dreamers, two spiritual adventure guides, and one badass Brave Healer publisher, this powerful collection of real-life stories and practical shamanic medicine—26 Tales of Transformation—was born. Warwick Fairfax Interview | Crucible Leadership: Embrace Your Trials to Lead a Life of Significance

Warwick Fairfax Interview | Crucible Leadership: Embrace Your Trials to Lead a Life of Significance

May 31, 2022

Before 1987, I was on a path to one day having the largest shareholding in the company and being chairman — possibly chief executive. After 1987, that all changed. I launched the AUS $2.25B takeover in August 1987 of John Fairfax Ltd., a large diversified media company that, at its height, included newspapers, television stations, radio stations, magazines, and newsprint mills.

With The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age in Melbourne, and The Australian Financial Review, it had the equivalent of The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal of Australia. By December 1987, the company was over AUS $1.5 billion in debt. The debt was so large that when Australia went through a recession in 1990, the company went bankrupt — and the company passed out of family control. It was the end of a dynasty.

My book Crucible Leadership, Embrace Your Trials to Lead a Life of Significance, published in 2021 by Mount Tabor Media, an imprint of Morgan James Publishing, documents my journey moving beyond my crucible in a lessons-learned format. It was a Wall Street Journal bestseller that also topped Amazon’s charts for business leadership, self-help and memoirs.

My podcast, BEYOND THE CRUCIBLE, has produced more than 100 episodes, featuring guests as varied as an actor/director with an exclusive two-year deal with Netflix, the world’s foremost authority on resilience and a leadership coach and consultant whose own podcast has been identified by INC. as one of the Top 12 leadership podcasts in the world.
